Our Mission

At City Cafe Outreach, our mission is to reduce hunger and improve food access in Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle by delivering nutritious groceries directly to underserved neighborhoods. Through our Mobile Food Pantry program, we work to ensure that families, seniors, and veterans have reliable access to healthy food with dignity, compassion, and respect.

Who We Are

City Cafe Outreach is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing food insecurity in Amarillo and surrounding communities. Founded by Shaun Sechrist, the organization was built on a simple belief: no one in our community should have to worry about where their next meal will come from.

Through partnerships with churches, businesses, and community organizations, City Cafe Outreach operates a Mobile Food Pantry that brings groceries directly into neighborhoods where families face barriers to accessing healthy food. By working together with volunteers, donors, and local partners, we are helping strengthen food security across our community.

What We Do

Mobile Food Pantry

Our Mobile Food Pantry delivers groceries directly into neighborhoods across Amarillo. By partnering with churches, schools, businesses, and community organizations, we host rotating food distributions that provide families with fresh produce, protein, dairy, bread, and pantry staples.

Emergency Food Boxes

For households experiencing urgent food needs, City Cafe Outreach provides emergency food boxes containing essential groceries to help families bridge short-term gaps in food access.

Holiday Meal Program

During Thanksgiving and Christmas, we provide special holiday meal distributions to ensure families can celebrate the season with a traditional meal together.

Why It Matters

Food insecurity affects thousands of families in our region. For many households, barriers such as transportation, rising food costs, and limited access to grocery stores make it difficult to maintain consistent access to healthy food.

City Cafe Outreach works to remove those barriers by bringing food directly into neighborhoods where it is needed most. By providing reliable access to nutritious groceries, we help families meet their basic needs while strengthening the health and stability of our community.
